| Club Nintendo of Japan has released a special SNES retro controller that plugs directly into your wiimote. I recently ordered one and received it today in the mail. Expect to pay $50+. Finally getting the controller in my hands, it felt like the real thing... except one thing; the ABXY buttons were not the standard purple/teal colors I'm used to; they were rainbow, nor did it have the raised and lowered indentations. Even BEFORE I tested out the controller, I took it apart  I also took apart one of my spare US SNES controllers and, to my AMAZEMENT, both shells were COMPLETELY identical. The only difference (obviously) was the circuitry, so I merely swapped boards and closed up the controllers. I now have a TRUE US SNES Wii Classic Controller and a Super Famicom controller. I can now play WiiWare games with the extreme comfort and ease of use of my SNES controller. Games like Mega Man 9, Tetris Party and Dr. Mario Online RX will be MUCH better. Just thought I'd let you guys know. | |

| I suppose that makes the controller a "Classic Classic Controller", hyuk hyuk. I guess Super Famicom had the same look as the PAL SNES had, I liked the colored buttons in the PAL controllers, but admittedly the US SNES and controllers look "newer". I wish I had enough money to get one of those controllers. | |

| That is so awesome! I'd love to get my hands on one of those... This lousy classic controller is just so....awkward to use... It feels like I'm playing a game with a controller made by this guy ->  |

| what? i thought they just released a super famicom-style classic controller, hence the multicolo(u)red buttons. cause what you described sounds just like a super famicom controller. also, the cord on the sfc controller is really short for some reason. dunno what that's about. | |
