I would like to ask of you to tell me (and anybody else who cares) some games that weren't/aren't too popular in general, any system will do. I have two games in my mind, both for the Famicom Disk System, Ai Senshi Nicol and Arumana no Kiseki, games made by Konami and they're mad fun, I can't really think of other games at the time of writing this, although I know I would have many others to point out. So, if anybody's got suggestions, post away.

I'd have to say Legend of Dragoon. It's a Playstation one game, released in 2000. It's really underrated, and not very popular, but it's my favorite RPG of all time (Yes, even more than EarthBound or Mother 3). It has likable characters, who really develop over the course of the game, and it's extremely long (4 Discs!). It plays similair to FF7, but it has a MUCH better battle system. The battle system involves things called "Additions" which require timed hits, and if done correctly, they highly increase the damage you do. Here's a video if that didn't make sense:
You can also evolve into things called "Dragoons" which are basically part dragon. In the dragoon form, you have a variety of special moves that require MP. You have a dragoon level, though, and whatever Dragoon level you have, that's how many turns you can stay transformed in that battle, until you fill your meter back up by doing additions. The higher your dragoon level, you also learn new moves. Here's a video of some Dragoon forms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh8lUeFEsS4 It also has some pretty sweet music, and the graphics are fairly good for the PS1. I guess you wouldn't like it if you're not a RPG fan, though, but if you are, you should check it out sometime (If you can find it).

Time Zone. It''s an NES game that was never released in the US. It was translated by Tomato-san (MOTHER 3 translator) a long time ago. It's a unique platformer with a very Earthbound like vibe to it.

Well this game is not totally unknown, but I think it should deserve much more attention. I always found that it was one of the best platformer for the nes although it's quite short. It's just so freaking fun.
Sorry for showing secret levels but this my favorite part of the game, and it shows a very good example of the control and gameplay.

Wheel of Fortune for PS3 from the Playstation Store. It's starting to gain popularity for it's online capabilities, and I actually enjoy the game overall.

I just thought of one, Outlaws (1997 PC FPS). It's not insanely popular, but it's still got a group of dedicated followers. It's an awesome game with nicely drawn cutscenes and lots of playability.

Terranigma for the SNES is a hidden gem. It's an action rpg in the same vein as Zelda. Like virtually all late-era SNES RPGs, it has nice graphics and memorable music. More importantly, however, the game feels very unique and charming. You get to restore the world (which is loosely based on our world), starting with plant life. And similar to Actraiser and Soul Blazer, you get to do some town building, although it's entirely optional this time around. Finally, a few developments in the story are bound to surprise you a bit, as they did me.

Syphon Filter: a 3rd person action/shooter game for the PS1. I think it's a pretty good game. Perhaps overshadowed by "metal gear solid".

Heh, I know that series all too well, my friend's a devoted fan to the series, he's says the three first ones were the best, to which I agree.

Well I don't know if it's underrated or forgotten, but there's not very many people play. I'm referring to Exteel if you like 3rd person shooters and online pvp it's a good one, maybe not the best but it's free to play and not an overly large file size, although there are some bugs... Did i forget to mention giant fighting robots?
