serriously this thing was made way to soon because i thought we were gonna complete 6..... BS...... oh well.....

So you think making a thread 5 minutes before we start the WiiPlay is too soon? Should we start the thread a few weeks after the WiiPlay next time?

hmm...perhaps maybe just a week or a few days before, guru. i think the biggest problem this time was no one had any idea he was gonna switch out 6 for 4. also, the link was posted when there were very few people really in the chat and paying attention. but it was kind of hard to post THIS one any earlier than 5 minutes lol

Yuki, his complaint was that it was posted too SOON, not too LATE. I'd understand this being posted too late. I had planned to post it after the FFVI WiiPlay, giving people a week to grab it, and allowing more people a shot. That didn't happen and the posting of this was Tom's call.

guru its not its that I thought it was 5 minutes too soon before a wiiplay, it caught me off guard basically, what i mean is that i thought we were gonna finish VI before IV (huh switch around the Roman numerals and you get teh same game hah! XD i'm sorry back to the original topic i get distracted easily) Anyways basically what i thought was that we'd finish VI and then go onto IV then do the Character selection oh well i guess i should be paying attention.

That was the plan. Tom sprung it on me last minute. He hadn't finished magic grinding, so it was either watch him fight cactrot for 3 hours, or we could start FFIV. Tom made the final call, but I realize it was really quick.

oh well screw it theres always final fantasy 9, 8, and 7.

Just as an FYI, we will be returning to the land of FFIV tonight. Hopefully by next week, we'll finish FFVI.

I have a question regarding the other Final Fantasy games. Do any of them allow you to change the names of the characters besides Final Fantasy VI?

I dont know about the earlier ones, but Final Fantasy 8 and 9 both do. However, it's limited on 8. you can only change the name of Squall, Rinoa, Angelo, and the GFs. On 10, only Tidu's name can be changed (hence why he's never referred to in the game as "Tidus," only "him" or "he.")

Theirs Plenty of GF's to be named in FF8.
In 10 you can name the Aeons also. Theres about 7 aeons and one of those aeons is three aeons in one so that makes 10 names.
