Activision is allowing a Goldeneye remake since they hold the rights to the James Bond video game franchise. They game itself will be developed by Eurocom.

Instead of Pierce Brosnan, we will have Daniel Craig (From Casino Royal and Quantum of solace). The game will have Full voice acting including Daniel Craig doing the voice for James bond.

Call me nostalgic, but i think Brosnan makes a better bond then Craig, but i think the full voice acting was a deciding factor in that.

zew, keep posts relevant to the topic. dont just post for posting's sake. this has nothing to do with Donkey Kong >.> also, Goldeneye was the ONLY 007 game i liked, so i'm fairly happy to see a remake.

Eurocom has a BIG amount of pressure on them. A lot of people who still love the N64 Goldeneye will be incredibly pissed if they mess this recreation up Razz

And agreed Yuki, only 007 game I've been able to tolerate was Goldeneye 007.

Ah, Golden Eye 007. I remember how much fun I had playing that back in the day (and how much I hated unlocking the Facility cheat. Ugh. Just ugh.).

The thing with this remake is that either it will be REALLY good or REALLY bad. I don't see how there could be any way this game will end up between the two. That said, I am stoked for it. Probably a launch date pick up for me.

I cant wait to see how well they do with the remake. Craig's Bond is more like the books from what i hear. (I really should read those some day). I love Goldeneye but I did also enjoy The World is Not Enough, the only problem with that game is that it is the 007 game that came out after Goldeneye so it was pretty much doomed from the start.

I have high hopes for the game... it won't be the N64 game (a game I put many hours into back then), but that might actually be a good thing. I didn't take the time to check it out at E3, when I walked passed it, people were playing Multiplayer, and I was more interested in the single player game.

Since information about it has been revealed at Comic-Con, I might as well mention that there will be a DS version as well (which will also be it's own game, not a port of the N64 original or the Wii game). The DS game is being developed by n-Space, who developed the DS Call of Duty games.
